The Care Certificate is a 5 day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual.
Learners will develop their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. Each of the 15 standards have specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The Care Certificate provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The course also includes our CPD Accredited Moving & Handling of People and Objects training which is a full day course using our on site equipment.
Care providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as a result must meet the Health and Social Care Act 2014 (Regulation 18 Staffing). Evidence of training and understanding is provided to support providers in their evidence of compliance.
The Care Certificate Refresher course is a full day course which is CPD Accredited.
Learners will revisit and refresh skills on the 15 standards of the Care Certificate to ensure that learners are competent and confident to carry out their duties to the standards expected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This 1 Day Continence, Catheter & Pressure Care course is instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as scenarios, activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual.
Learners will understand the importance of recognising person-centred care when supporting someone with incontinence and you will be able to effectively communicate with individuals and other services in order to report any concerns and record information appropriately.
By attending this training, you will be able to effectively recognise the different types of equipment and promote the prevention of skin conditions worsening, by encouraging movement and correct infection control methods.
Learning Outcomes:
The Dementia Awareness and Experience course is a full day interactive session, designed to give learners a valuable insight, and a better understanding, into how they can better support those living with Dementia.
By attending this CPD Accredited training, learners will understand more about Dementia, how to identify signs and symptoms and how to better support people who have Dementia. Learning is interactive as the Dementia Experience element gives attendees an insight into what a world with Dementia looks like by using technology and sensory equipment to provide an insight of some of the challenges that living with Dementia can have.
This 3 Hour course will give learners the skills and knowledge to understand the importance of recognising person-centred care when supporting someone with Diabetes.
Learners will be provided with the knowledge to understand the different types of Diabetes, signs, symptoms and how to respond to Hyper or Hypo episodes and how to effectively communicate with individuals and other services in order to report any concerns.
By attending this session, learners will be able to:
First Aid is a mixture of theory and practical based training. Using a blended approach, learners will develop new skills and knowledge to enable them to provide safe, responsive emergency first aid care.
The 1 day course is designed to build learners confidence and support them through different scenarios which they may come across either in work or at home.

The course is a 2 day reaccreditation for anyone holding a First Aid at Work 3 Day certificate. Attendance at this 2 day course must be within the 3 year accreditation expiry date, otherwise the full 3 day course will need to be retaken. This interactive and informative learning is designed to refresh learners knowledge in order for them to become fully reaccredited. The course is fully accredited with NUCO.

This 1 day Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering (RQF) is an OFQUAL recognised qualification and accredited by Highfield. This course prepares learners for employment in a catering role, or to support a role in the workplace. Learners will complete 10 modules in Food Safety:-

The Medication & Record Keeping course is a full day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as scenarios, activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual.

The Moving & Handling training is an accredited one day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. The PEG Feeding Awareness course is a half day session which is instructor led in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as scenarios, activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual.
Learners will develop their knowledge, skills and understanding around PEG Feeding

PLEASE NOTE - this training is an awareness session only, and does not provide any clinical instructions on how to use the PEG feed. This should only be provided by the medical professionals involved with the individual as each PEG feed method may differ.
This 4 hour course will give learners the skills and confidence in taking and recording of vital signs to review an individual's state of health. The course provides information on why taking and monitoring vital signs is important, and how to effectively take, monitor and record the results.
Learners will understand what to do if there is a suspected deterioration of an individual's health, and how to progress the most appropriate escalation pathway to support someone's health needs.
This full day course supports learners in developing knowledge, skills and understanding about the importance of responsibilities for Safeguarding Adults with care and support needs.
The course delivers information on the relevant safeguarding legislation, and the importance of safeguarding training for everyone that works with adults at risk.
